My Story

I was born and raised in the inner-city of Richmond, VA in a single-parent household. Showered with unconditional love, unwavering support, and plenty of knowledge and wisdom from my mother and grandmother taught me some viable life lessons that would prepare me for adulthood. Those life lessons were in the areas of Faith, Love, Respect, Understanding, Compassion, Empathy, Courage, Confidence, Hard Work, Resiliency, Character, Integrity, Selflessness, and so much more. I was faced with a few challenges in my life but I did not let anything stop me from reaching my goals/dreams! My mindset has always been to challenge the status quo and to defy all odds by being the best that I can be!

After graduating Top 3 in my senior class, I decided to take the road less traveled and attend James Madison University, where I became the first in my family to graduate from a college/university with my B.S. in Sports and Recreation Management. I decided to continue this educational journey by attending Virginia Commonwealth University, where I received my M.Ed. in Sports Leadership/Administration and becoming the first in my family to earn a master’s degree.

In 2017, I accepted the position to serve as Carver Academy’s first Athletic Director. This also made me the youngest High School Director of Student Activities/Athletic Director in Virginia and held that title for 6 out of 7 years in that position. I am also the youngest in Virginia with my State/National C.A.A. (Certified Athletic Administrators Certification).

I now explore the space of entrepreneurship, where I can be more creative and flexible to help people reach their highest potential through inspiration and motivation!

My Financial Journey

In 2015, I became the first in my family to graduate from a college/university. This was a huge accomplishment for myself and my family, but it also came with debt. Around $60,000 in student loans and $5,000 in credit card debt. I was under the impression that once I graduated with a degree, I would start to make “big money”. However, that was not the case for me. I did not make over $20,000/year until 2019. As a result, my total debt increased from $65,000 to almost $100,000; this included more student loan debt, maxed out credit cards, and my “dream car”. After learning from my past financial choices, I made the conscious decision to make a change. Through Faith, Hard Work, and Consistency, I was able to reach my financial goal of becoming DEBT FREE in September 2023 and increasing my credit score to over 800! I would like to share my knowledge and wisdom with others to help them reach their financial goals. Get started today by booking your Introduction Session!
